USMBA's Annual Conference
Welcome
Nearshoring is the phenomenon where manufacturers are relocating their manufacturing operations from Asia to Mexico in order to be closer to the U.S. market. The pandemic demonstrated the weakness of various supply chains in Asia and so manufacturers are trying to nearshore their manufacturing facilities in North America. Nearshoring thus presents opportunities but also challenges to manufacturers that want to bolster their supply chains.
Our conference will analyze and explore the many examples of nearshoring to Mexico, given Mexico’s geographic proximity to the U.S. and its relatively cheaper labor pool compared to U.S. workers.
