Emilio Arteaga actively represents and advises clients on trade and business law matters, as well as dispute settlement proceedings. Mr. Arteaga actively participates in trade remedy proceedings in Mexico, particularly antidumping, representing exporters or importers before the Mexican Ministry of Economy and, if necessary, before domestic courts and even NAFTA panels; he has supported foreign firms collecting evidence for foreign trade remedy investigations.
On trade & customs law matters, Mr. Arteaga also provides advice on Free Trade Agreements and their Rules of Origin and Preferential Tariffs, customs regimes, tariff and non-tariff barriers, taxes upon importation, among other matters. On business law, Mr. Arteaga supports companies to incorporate branches in Mexico, and has advised on contract, product, and consumer law matters.
