Bryan Elwood is Managing Partner of the Cobden Law Firm specializing in cross border business matters and is also Principal of Cobden Customs & Trade Solutions a customs brokerage. Formerly, Bryan was General Counsel and Chief Compliance officer at Tricon, a major global chemicals trading and distribution company. Prior to joining Tricon Bryan headed the international trade and customs practice at the law firm of Curtis Mallet-Prevost and Colt & Mosle. Bryan also served as member of Mexico’s global trade negotiation team and was Chief Commercial Counsel for the Embassy of Mexico in Washington D.C.
He has published various articles and was Editor in Chief of the NAFTA Arbitration Reports journal. Bryan earned his Law degree from the Iberoamericana University in Mexico City, his LL.M at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., and has taught international trade law at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
